Welcome! The 2016-2017 school year will be my 14th year at Waterloo High School. After graduating from McKendree University in 2000 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Mathematics degree, I taught mathematics one year in a Chicago Suburb. I have previously taught GED classes and had a Graduate Assistantship teaching College Algebra at SIUE while working on a Masters in Mathematics. I have a Masters in Education with the concentration in Administration. I am married to a wonderful husband. We have a son who shares my birthday. A couple years ago, I was asked to change teaching positions and begin teaching the Response to Intervention classes (Academy of Reading & Academy of Math) as well as math. I have very much enjoyed teaching, working with, and getting to know my students more than I was ever able to in the math classroom. I love working with these students! In addition to my teaching position, I am the facilitator for the WHS Problem Solving Team (PST). I have been facilitating this team for ten years. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and working to decorate & landscape our home. When the chance presents itself, I also enjoy going to Cardinal baseball games & watching University of Kentucky basketball.
